Gerard is a member of the Commercial Team. A graduate of Victoria University of Wellington, Gerard has had over 30 years experience in a wide range of commercial and transactional matters including:

• Significant subdivisional work
• Novel retirement village and resort owning structures
• Advice to corporate and statutory bodies and commercial ventures between New Zealand and overseas concerns
• Large scale business and property acquisitions

Gerard also provides specialist advice in the asset planning area, and finds particularly rewarding the work he does for private clients.

After qualifying in New Zealand, Gerard worked for some years for the City Solicitor at Guildhall in the City of London. He has the Freedom of that City.
