Thomas started his legal career with a large Auckland firm and joined McCaw Lewis in 2004. He was appointed a Partner in 2008. Thomas specialises in commercial and property law, with a special emphasis on unit titles and company law. His relevant work includes:
He has twice been a finalist in the Commercial/Corporate area at the NZ Law Awards. Thomas is a nationally-recognised expert on body corporate issues, and the author of Unit Titles Law & Practice (LexisNexis 2011). He is also the co-author of Company Law: Challenges for SMEs and their advisers (NZLS, 2010), and regularly presents seminars on commercial and property law.
