Leone joined the Dispute Resolution Team at McCaw Lewis in May 2008 and primarily practises in the area of civil dispute resolution with considerable experience in construction contract disputes and lease disputes. Leone also has experience in advising clients on estate disputes and disputes involving Māori Land. Leone has appeared before the Māori Land Court, Waitangi Tribunal, District and High Courts on a range of dispute related matters. Leone graduated from the University of Waikato in October 2007 with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Management Studies, majoring in Human Resource Management. She was admitted to the Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in July 2008. Leone is of Ngāti Tuwharetoa and Ngāti Kahungunu descent. She is passionate about Te Reo Māori and promoting all aspects of tikanga in everyday life. In her spare time she enjoys playing guitar and spending time with friends and family, including her husband Stu, and sons Tyler and Mason. Leone is currently on maternity leave. |
