Season-Mary is of Te Kapotai, Ngati Hine and Ngapuhi descent. 

Season-Mary works primarily with whanau, hapu, and iwi clients to prepare their claims before the Waitangi Tribunal.  Season-Mary has been involved in the Whanganui, East Coast, and Te Paparahi o Te Raki District Inquiries, as well as the Petroleum and East Coast Settlement Inquiry.  Prior to joining McCaw Lewis she worked at a firm in Wellington undertaking similar Waitangi Tribunal and Treaty of Waitangi related work.

Season-Mary graduated with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Waikato.  She is currently studying toward a Master of Laws in Māori/Pacific & Indigenous Peoples' Law at the University of Waikato.  Season-Mary is currently the secretary of Te Hunga Roia Māori o Aotearoa (The New Zealand Māori Law Society).
